Beijing, China (Day 1 & 2)

March 12, 2018

The day of the departure finally arrived after months of waiting. I was definitely excited about the trip but not too fond of the idea of sitting down for a 13 hour flight. And to make things worse, the worst of luck striking in the worst way possible before even boarding the plane.

For 13 hours, there was nothing to do but watch movies and play games on my phone because sleep was the last thing on my mind. The amazing thing about this flight was flying over Alaska and Russia, and watching the frozen ocean off the coast of southeast Russia. And before I knew it we arrived.

For our first full day in Beijing, we took two tours at the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace. I was in awe with the beauty of the architecture and the history.

Seeing Beijing in the day time really got me confirming the fact that there is a lot of pollution, as you will see in most pictures. Even when the weather doesn’t forecast fog, it looks pretty foggy and the majority of the people wear face masks.

This is the majority of my day through photos. I would have taken more but due to the fact that we are constantly rushed from one place to the other it’s kinda hard to take a still photo. So far, Beijing has been an incredible experience with such interesting places to see. Stay tuned for more posts on my days out here in China 🇨🇳.
